Six stall barn with a fenced in stone dust paddock for emergencies like severe icing, blizzards etc.

Otherwise the paddock is always open to another 2 acre paddock and to 140 fenced acres.

Stalls are 12 x 12, overhang is 10 feet deep.

Stall side of the barn, doors always open except maybe for feeding supplements or emergencies.

Stall floors are cement and are covered with cow rubber mats which are a lot softer than regular rubber mats and allow the horse to lie down comfortably. No bedding is provided.

Overhang has also rubber covering.

Stalls have very gentle slope to the outside so they can be hosed out if necessary.

The tubs were for hay, but are no longer used. Slow feeding hay nets replace them now. The trees provide ample shade and are wrapped with chicken wire to prevent damage from chewing.

Some more traffic around the overhang. Bugs are bad, and horses are kept in large paddock area to restrict grazing.

Hanging out together

Paddock closed to limit grazing, but an additional 2 acre paddock is open for more space and exercise.

Hay is also provided. Just can see what they think:  NOT FAIR!! Look at that great grass out there. Humans sure

know how to spoil all the fun.

Snoozing in the outer paddock after working hard in the fields all night. Exhausting, mowing this short new grass.

This is nice, away from the other bullies. You are such a good friend.

Oooooh, this is sooooooo nice! I love you!!  --- love you too, have a nice snooze. I will keep everybody away.

Stay away from my little buddy, I warn you, I have big teeth! And I can be a lot meaner than I look!

Winter covered all those nice green fields, have to do with hay now. Oh well, it’s not bad. And at least there is plenty of it.

And the humans did a good job plowing, it’s easy to get around.

A little siesta with a friend, after finishing up the hay. The sun feels sooooo good.
